      How do I update the haptic controller to the latest software version?


      If you are looking for an update of the library (haptic code), please follow the link below:

      Software versions are automatically updated by the haptic controller. There are multiple services that are updated through this process, e.g. Motion Core, Motion Engine. 

      However, if the system is offline for a long period of time (power or wi-fi), there might be multiple versions of the software to update. In this case, the process will potentially not update automatically and you will need to follow the steps below. 

      Step 1:

      Make sure the HEMC, D-BOX VIBE or HaptiSync Hub is connected to the internet network.

      We strongly suggest to connect it directly (through a wired connection).
       

      Reboot the haptic controller :

      • Press the power button to power off your device
      • Disconnect the power cable from the device
      • Wait 5 seconds
      • Reconnect the power cable
      • Press the power button
      Step 3:

      The software update process might take up to 30 minutes.

      Note it will also upload the latest haptic codes (library). We suggest you keep the HEMC, D-BOX VIBE or HaptiSync Hub connected at least 24 hours.
