Get started - How to initiate your HaptiSync Hub?

This procedure is featuring the Jaymar Lifestyle haptic seat but is valid for many alternative type of haptic seat.

 


Step 1:

Follow the instructions provided in the following documents:
Step 2:

Enter your payment information in D-BOX Connect.
Step 3:
Purchase a HaptiSync subscription in D-BOX Connect.
Step 4:
Install the D-BOX HaptiSync app on your mobile device or PC.
Step 5:
Connect your HaptiSync Hub to your network

 

If using a wireless Wi-Fi network:

  • Open the D-BOX HaptiSync app.
  • Press the Add button and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Your mobile device needs to be connected to your Wi-Fi network.
    • You will need to know your Wi-Fi password.

If using your wired Ethernet network:

  • Connect a network cable to the ETHERNET port of your HaptiSync Hub.
  • Open the HaptiSync app.
  • The HaptiSync Hub should be detected automatically.
Step 6: Activate your HaptiSync Hub
  • In the D-BOX HaptiSync app, press on the HaptiSync Hub icon showing Activation Required
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your activation.
    • You will need to enter your D-BOX Connect account email and password in the app.
Step 7: Wait for your system to update
  • The database update requires about 15 minutes after a successful activation.
  • Once ready, the Last Updated field will be updated in the app.
Step 8: Test your Haptic system.
  • Make sure that all components of your Haptic system are powered on
  • Open the Mobile HaptiSync app or HaptiSync Center (PC) and make sure the input mode is set to Integrated Microphone.
  • Play the HaptiSync Test video from the YouTube D-BOX Haptic Experiences channel
    • This can be done from your mobile device by aiming its speaker towards your HaptiSync sound sensor (microphone).
    • Increase the sound level of playback so that the HaptiSync Hub can detect the playing video.
  • Within 30 seconds, your system should move in sync with the test video.
Step 9: Optimize your system (optional).

Intensity-level adjustment

      • Intensity levels are set to maximum by default.
      • Play the HaptiSync Test video from the YouTube D-BOX Haptic Experiences channel
      • If vibrations are too intense in your environment, reduce the vibration intensity slider located in the HaptiSync app or HaptiSync Center.

Calibration of HaptiSync delay

    • The synchronization delay is factory calibrated for use with the Sound Sensor.
    • Play the HaptiSync Delay Calibration video from the YouTube D-BOX Haptic Experiences channel to check your synchronization.
    • If you do not perceive any difference, leave the calibration value at 0.
Step 10: Enjoy your favorite immersive content!
  • Pick a compatible D-BOX title.
  • Play from the beginning to allow system recognition
  • Confirm recognition with the app within the first minute.
  • After a title is recognized, you can pause, rewind, or skip ahead, and the immersive experience should resume within a few seconds.
  • An Audio Line-in signal can also be used instead of the integrated sound sensor.
