      D-BOX System Configurator - Release Notes

      This article briefly details specific changes included in the product update (recent changes, feature enhancements, or bug fixes)

       

      System Configurator 3.1.7 - January 2025

      • ACM G3 FLEX firmware bug fix

      System Configurator 3.1.7 - November 2024

      •  Improvements and fixes
        • New firmware releases to improve system stability (G2, G3 and G5)
        • Support for the upcoming ACM G3 FLEX (firmware and configuration)

      System Configurator 3.1.6 - November 2024

      •  Added support for silent firmware updates from the command line, with support for multiple comm units plugged in at once. This can be done like this: .\SystemConfigApp.exe -UpdateFirmware. The return values of the program are as follows: 0 indicates an update success on all comm units, 1 indicates a success on some comm units, 2 indicates a failure on all comm units.

      • Added support for running the installer silently from the command line, like this: .\Setup.exe /silent /AcceptLicense: Yes

      System Configurator 3.1.5 - April 2024

      • Initial support for upcoming ACM G3 FLEX

      • Bug Fixed: Reprogramming failure could occur while erasing the Flash on some devices

      • Minor improvements and corrections to the Enumeration Tool

      System Configurator 3.1.4 - October 2023

      Firmware update

      • KCU

        • Changed Product name string to "D-BOX KCU"

        • Added Reboot command

      • KCA

        • Added new command to configure if and when the volume feedback wave is played. By default, no feedback wave is played.

      • ACM G2/G3 DSP and G5 Haptic Bridge

        • Added new command KC_GETSET_VOLUME_FB_CONFIG to configure if and when the volume feedback wave is played. By default, no feedback wave is played.

      • G5 Haptic Bridge USB

        • Changed Product name string to "D-BOX Haptic Bridge".

      • G5 Haptic Expander support

        • The configuration section has been updated to display new diagrams when using the Haptic Expander.

      System Configurator 3.1.3 - May 2023

      Firmware update

      Firmware package 1.8 is included in this new version

      • KCA
        • The effect of the Spectrum setting was inverted in respect to the other products.  It is now applied the same way.
      • ACM G2/G3
        • Fixed a bug in the Runtime data management that had the potential to prevent the DSP from starting properly
        • Volume and Spectrum settings can now be preserved in Flash memory
        • Correction to Hold Low state that was not operating as expected with some platform configurations
        • Support for new AIF parameters:  Assignation and Position
        • Runtime Data can now be read/cleared on a secondary ACM
        • Fixed a bug that could prevent the platform from initializing properly after resyncing
      • G5 Haptic Bridge
        • Correction to Hold Low state that was not operating as expected with some platform configurations
        • Corrections to the mechanisms to save the Runtime Data into the external Flash Memory
      • G5 Haptic Actuator
        • Correction to HOLD_LOW state: Not affected by the Mix Matrix and PlayWaves anymore
        • IGBT Temperature safety limits added
        • Changes to Ambient Temperature measurement to use the calibration values
        • Changes to the Over and Under limits for the Ambient Temperature
        • Wait for the hardware delay (for IGBT power) before proceeding with the supply voltage detection
        • Wait for communications to begin with the Bridge before starting to act locally on communication errors
        • Corrections to the mechanisms to save the Runtime Data into the external Flash Memory
